The Boccadigabbia wines are produced from 10 small hectares of land in the hills that rise from the Adriatic sea. They showcase a remarkable sense of terroir with some of the most intense characteristics the region has seen.
Planted on the right soils at the right elevation, Verdicchio can be one of the most exciting wines Italy produces.
The Verdicchio di Matelica 2020 ($24.95/bottle) is no exception. It delivers notes of apple blossom, apricots, and the lively allure of an herb garden. Intensely mineral, with an almond-like finish.
A perfect aperitif.
The Rosso Piceno 2017 ($26.95/bottle) is a rich and tannic blend of Sangiovese & Montelpulciano, delivering chocolate and black raspberry scents with spice accents.

The Boccadigabbia estate had been a property of the Bonaparte family since the First French Empire, until it was purchased by Mariano Alessandri in 1956.
Today, Mariano Alessandri’s son, Elvidio, is at the helm of Boccadigabbia. With the help of his four children and head oenologist Emiliano Falsin, they continue to produce fabulous French-inspired wines that earned them the reputation as one of the leading estates in the Marche.
