I’ve often had pipe dreams of owning a little block of old vine Grenache down in Roussillon.
For now it’s remained just that. A pipe dream. But after speaking with the charming Elise Gaillard of Domaine Madeloc, I started thinking about it again.
Elise is originally from the northern Rhöne valley, but along with her husband came to love the impressively rugged landscape and schist soils of Banyuls and Collioure, where today they tend vineyards and make wine.
