You’d be extremely hard pressed to find someone in the wine business more pleasant to deal with than Eugene Mlynczyk MW. Despite his immense knowledge and tasting prowess, his modest nature and his willingness to share his experiences with others appears to know no bounds, making him one of the most highly respected folks in the industry.
After a quick lunch at Ossington’s Pizza Libretto (surely the best Prix Fixe in the city?) we journeyed to the leafy environs of Trinity Bellwoods park for a video interview where I hoped to glean Eugene’s personal insights into exactly what it takes to achieve the notoriously challenging Master of Wine certification.
