Vancouver author, chef and restaurateur Vikram Vij was in Toronto recently. Good Food Revolution caught up to him at the all-new renovated All The Best Fine Foods, where Vij made a public appearance in support of the line of prepared Indian “Vij’s” foods he “exports” from The Lower Mainland, available there. In the video below, Vij explains the changes afoot at his restaurant and kitchens in 2011.

Oh why oh why isn’t Vij opening a restaurant in Toronto? I’m tiring of making his “Lamb Popsicles” but, at home, they remain my most requested dish. But having had his “home-made” food while living in Vancouver, I’m glad to know they’re available. Hoping All The Best is also carrying his tins of Garam Masala – it’s a wondeful concoction.
btw – if you are looking for a delicious, fresh and original Indian experience in Toronto, try Aravind on the Danforth. Kerala food with a lovely local twist.
