Tenuta Fanti x Tutti Matti A spectacular evening of Tuscan food, wine, olive oil & conversation

We’re thrilled to welcome Tenuta Fanti back to Toronto with a very special wine dinner at Tutti Matti on Saturday, October 29. Export manager Irene Dal Canto, and Le Sommelier president Bernard Stramwasser will lead us through the wines and olive oils of this historic Tuscan estate, paired to a spectacular dinner from chef / owner Alida Solomon.

The Tenuta Fanti estate has belonged to the Fanti family since the beginning of the eighteenth century. It extends across 300 hectares in Toscana, 52 hectares of which are specialized certified sustainable vineyards (in conversion to organic), 110 hectares are olive orchards, 80 hectares are used for seed plots, and 70 hectares are forests. They are widely recognized for their high quality wines, regularly listed in top restaurants around the globe.

The farm also is home to 8,500 olive trees of the most prestigious Tuscan varieties, as well as a traditional olive stone mill. Thanks to the high elevation of the trees, the early picking and the quick crushing of the olives, the oil is characterized by low acidity and a complex flavour profile.

If you are unable to attend the Tenuta Fanti x Tutti Matti wine dinner, we are also welcoming the public to drop by for a tasting on Wednesday, October 26 from 5-8pm at Blue Door Wine Shop. All bottles of wine and olive oil will be available to taste, and purchase. The tasting, limited to 40 guests, is by donation to Grapes for Humanity.
