Escudo Rojo winemaker Emmanuel Riffaud talks us through his 2019 Escudo Rojo Chardonnay Reserva.
This week we take another trip down to Chile to taste with French winemaker Emmanuel Riffaud.
At Escudo Rojo in the Maipo Valley, Riffaud makes some rather elegant and well-crafted wines at some seriously accessible price points, and this 2019 Chardonnay Reserva is no exception at only $17.95. It’s pretty damn good juice.
This wine is currently available through the LCBO and can be found in stores across Ontario.
The excellent 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is being released on the 18th of September, so I’ll be reviewing that later this week.
