Yesterday I sat down for a virtual glass of wine with acclaimed South African winemaker Abrie Beeslaar of Kanonkop Wine Estate, Stellenbosch.

We tasted through his 2017 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, currently available through LCBO Vintages for $68. After tasting the better part of a bottle over the course of a day, I can safely say that it has to be one of the best South African Cabernets I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. It’s drinking wonderfully right now, but has a long life ahead of it.
