Bernardino Sandi from the historied Tuscan house of Argiano was recently in town to speak with a few select Sommeliers and buyers. Being an admirer of their wines for many years, I was eager to meet with him and check out this year’s released vintages.
Having purchased a number of their wines in the past, I have always been intrigued by their approach to winemaking, which I find to be both traditional and contemporary, depending upon the wine in question.
We caught up with him in the private room of the The Drake Hotel, where he happily plied us with his current releases and spoke about Argiano’s philosophies and plans for the near-future.
