I’ve always had a serious soft spot for well-made Barbera. Each time I find myself in Piemonte I make a concerted effort to taste as many Barberas as I can, as although I can appreciate the wonders of the Nebbiolo varietal, there’s something so special about a good Barbera that simply lifts my spirits.
With this in mind, I was delighted to have the opportunity to taste with Gianni Bertolino from Tenuta Olim Bauda, producers of some of the most thrilling Barbera out there.
