What with another steaming hot and humid Toronto summer upon us we decided it was time to unleash another of our food and drink themed musical mixes upon you.
Seeing as all of us at Good Food Revolution love our jerk-spiced meats, and with Toronto’s Caribbean Festival kicking off tomorrow, Tuesday the 9th of July, we present for you a six hour selection of our favourite islands-inspired trucks.
From early Ska, through Rocksteady, Calypso, Roots, Dancehall, Lovers, and Dub, our special Summer Jerk mix contains a lot of tracks you may recognise alongside a few more obscure treasures from our soundsystem’s archives.
So get stuck into your ice cold case of Red Stripe, perhaps in Trinity Belwoods Park, crank up the GFR Jerk mix, and enjoy the tunes…
