It has been almost a decade since I last sat down to taste with Steve Smith MW when I was travelling around Hawkes Bay, New Zealand in January of 2010, and so it was a real delight to sit in on a tutored tasting through a range of wines from his new projects at the Toronto offices of Lifford Wine and Spirits last month.
After the tasting I dragged him to the building’s basement where I convinced him into recording a little video interview for GFR.
