Montréal-based TV star, cookbook author and magazine publisher Ricardo Larivée was in Toronto recently to promote his new book Slow Cooker Favourites: From Lasagne to Cheesecake. On a tip from his wife, Ricardo (who is known simply by his first name by his fans) decided to investigate slow cooker-ing and became hooked. The French-language version of book has become a runaway best seller selling more than 100,000 copies. Ricardo sat down with Good Food Revolution at his publisher’s offices to shoot the video below on how he became a slow cooker convert, how it changed his life and why he thinks more home cooks are turning to counter top cuisine.
