Nicholas Pearce Wines presents a video greeting from Réva in Barolo…
Réva is a new reality in the Barolo region and was born from a dream made of tradition and dynamism. The winery focuses on producing wines of excellence with extreme attention to the particular characteristics of each grape variety and the utmost respect for diversity.
The winery’s roots go back to 1867. However, in 2010 the winery underwent a thorough reconstruction and the acclaimed Gianluca Colombo became the head oenologist. His plans included expanding the vineyards and planting well-known varieties such as Sauvignon. Despite his youth, Gianluca has a great deal of experience, not just from RÉVA but mainly from his work as part of the team of the celebrated Italian oenologist, Franco Cordero. He works as a consultant to many famous wineries in the Barolo area and he is proud of his small but high-quality wineries. In 2014 Gianluca’s efforts were crowned by obtaining the Premio Gambelli – a prestigious winemaker’s award for winemakers under 35.
In this video, Daniele Gaia, who works with Gianluca, sends his greetings from the vineyards in Barolo and talks about the wines listed below.
