Whilst many so-called Super Tuscans are anything but super, there is no doubt that Tenuta san Guido‘s Bordeaux-styled Sassiciaia stands head and shoulders above the rest of the field. Beloved by the world of wine critics and true aficionados of the grape alike, Sassicaia deserves every ounce of praise that it receives, a consistent beacon of quality in what has become a veritable ocean of mediocrity.
