Just in time for the holiday season, we’re excited to announce these new releases at the LCBO, including one of our new Champagne producers, Nominé-Renard, with a winter shot of their vineyards above.

Read below for details on these new wines from France, Italy, Portugal, and Chile.

Fanti Brunello di Montalcino 2019

“Offering dark fruit and an articulate bouquet with elements of ripeness and balsamic herb, the Fanti 2019 Brunello di Montalcino releases its aromas in swells of licorice, dark plum, cured tobacco and sweet potting soil. In terms of palate, this Brunello delivers much of its intensity in an upfront manner with a blast of ripe fruit that fades quietly over the mid-palate. The tannins are softly integrated. Drink date: 2024-2039.” 94 points, Monica Larner, robertparker.com

Serge Dagueneau & Filles Tradition Pouilly-Fumé 2023

This branch of the Dagueneau family, headed by father Serge, is based in Saint Andelain and owns 19 hectares of old vineyards across several of the prime sites of the Pouilly Fumé appellation, including three hectares in the nearby appellation of Cotes de la Charite. Today the estate is run by Serge’s daughter Valerie, cousin of the late Didier Dagueneau, with help in the vineyard from Serge. The flagship wine blends various blocks of sauvignon blanc on calcareous clay soils to provide a snapshot of their site. After pressing, this spent a few months on lees until January when it was fined and then bottled in the spring.
