Noble Estates offers a classic Negroni from Tuscany.
The Negroni cocktail is an equal mix of Gin, Vermouth, and Campari. While the drink’s origins are unknown, the most widely reported account is that it was first mixed in Florence, Italy, in 1919, at Caffè Casonii and now called Caffè Roberto Cavalli. Count Camillo Negroni concocted it by asking the bartender to strengthen his favorite cocktail, the Americano, by adding gin rather than the normal soda water. The bartender also added an orange garnish rather than the typical lemon garnish of the Americano to signify that it was a different drink. Other accounts say it was invented in the Hotel Baglioni in Florence in the 1920’s.
No matter who invented it, it’s a great summer ‘aperitivo’ on the rocks or straight up served with an orange twist.
We are offering a pre-mixed Negroni cocktail that is packaged in a 1 Litre bottle for $39.99, and comes in a case of 6.
