When most wine drinkers hear the name Thirty Bench they think of the vineyard’s award-winning Rieslings. While there is no argument that these excellent white wines are worthy of some serious recognition, Winemaker Emma Garner is also a dab hand when it comes to the crafting of some superb red bottlings.
From some delectable Beamsville Bench Pinot Noir, through the Bordeaux varietals, to a solid red blend, Emma’s top-tier reds certainly deserve some serious study (and enjoyment).
This week we take some time out to visit Emma at the winery and discover what, in her mind, makes these reds so special.
