Today we present an extended chat with South African Winemaker Susan McNaughton of Graceland Vineyards, Stellenbosch.
South Africa is currently under one of the world’s stricter COVID-19 lockdowns, with the sale of both alcohol and cigarettes prohibited, as well as the export of South African wine, and the complete shutdown of online ordering for anything except essential food supplies.
She tells us of her personal experiences at Graceland throughout the ongoing pandemic, how things thankfully worked out with the 2020 harvest, and the fact that her friends are all rather envious of the Graceland library wines she has been enjoying with dinner since the lockdown.
