Catching up with the one and only Mr. Randall Gram of Bonny Doon Vineyard.
It’s always such a relief when one’s heroes turn out to be truly, genuinely great people in real life (see Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver), and that’s certainly been the case with Randall Grahm of Bonny Doon infamy.
From my early days as a Sommelier in the UK, I was in awe of his seemingly endless wit and charm, and the way this translated to his wines.
Years later, in 2009, when we first met in person, I wasn’t at all star struck in the manner I had imagined I would be, but was captivated by his genuine warmth and authenticity.
Thankfully, here today in 2021, he hasn’t changed a bit!
