On Saturday, September 17th, a tour of the historic and unique K2 Milling (http://k2milling.blogspot.ca) will take place from 2 – 4 pm. Organized by Slow Food Toronto, the tour is mean to educate, inform and inspire those who come. It will be an opportunity to learn about how local, heritage grains are milled and processed and what sets organic grains and milling apartn. Mark Hayhoe, a third generation miller and the owner of K2 Milling, will lead the tour.
A light meal centred upon bread made with K2 Milling flours will be served. The Toronto Distillery Co (https://torontodistillery.ca) will also join us and we’ll have samples of spirits made with K2 Milling’s very own grains.
