The tag line for John Catucci’s Food Network series, You Gotta Eat Here, is “Canada’s Favourite Homewtown Restaurants and Hidden Gems”. And, so his accompanying cookbook, co-written with Michael Vlessides, offers a culinary tour of Catucci’s travels across the country in the form of more than 100 recipes celebrating small, family owned, independent restaurants.
Catucci came to show and book through his career as a comedian and broadcaster, but as the video below shows, he quickly became transfixed with the hospitality industry and transformed in the way he now chooses to eat.
