Hidden behind an unassuming home on a quiet side street in Northern Toronto lies Paese‘s Secret Garden, their secret weapon in the fight for Good Food.
From this fruit and vegetable oasis, Paese Executive Chef Christopher Palik and his team harvest a bounty of tomatoes, cucumbers, artichokes, beans, peppers, herbs, and the like, supplying both Paese restaurants with truly authentic “straight-from-the-garden-to-your-plate” local ingredients.
Chef Palik is obviously passionate about his secret garden and what it provides. After speaking with him for a few minutes it becomes immediately apparent that he loves having this intimate connection to the ingredients he works with each and every day.

Great post!!! I am pro graden-to-table-vegetables. Unfortunately, I live in a big city such as Rome, so I try to go either to an organic food store or a farmer’s market to get fresh produce!!!!
