At Nicholas Pearce Wines we love Chardonnay! Normally this weekend we would be celebrating Chardonnay with winemakers from all over the globe at i4C (International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration). With the festivities shifting online, including informative webinars and virtual tastings, we wanted to make sure we expressed just how much love we have for this varietal!
Chardonnay is one of the most versatile varieties in the world and lends it’s delicious qualities to Champagne and Chablis while also showing us what a little (or a lot) of well integrated oak can do to make it shine.
From the classic region of Burgundy to high altitude Alto Adige, from the maritime climate of Hawke’s Bay to the continental climate of Okanagan Valley, Chardonnay is grown and flourishes in some incredibly diverse regions.
We’ve put together a special shop to show you some of our favourites as well as selection of limited releases from i4C 2020.
