Malcolm Jolley talks to Steven Campbell about Grapes for Humanity and hospitality workers relief…
Steven Campbell’s new project is sitting as a board member for Grapes For Humanity. The charitable organization is best known for its fundraising efforts on behalf of children, but since the coming of the COVID-19 crisis and the closing of Ontario restaurants they’ve focused on helping hospitality workers affected by the lockdown. Following a hugely successful charity wine auction, which raised over half a million dollars, Grapes For Humanity is pledging to match, dollar for dollar, donations to the three not for profit organizations below:
- Bartenders Benevolent Fund: bartendersbenevolentfund.ca;
- Toronto Restaurant Workers Relief Fund: trwrf.org; and/or
- The Full Plate: thefullplate.ca
Campbell explained on a recent Zoom call, part of which was recorded for the video below, that donations to any of the three organizations will be matched by Grapes For Humanity up until January 2nd.
This winter will be long and dark for the thousands of hospitality workers who can’t work. Please join Grapes For Humanity in lending a hand to get restaurant workers though this crisis.
