by Steve Beauchesne for Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company, a ‘Certified Good Food Fighter‘
Hey There,
So, this is my first post on Good Food Revolution, hooray! I’ve been writing my own blog “How To Start A Brewery (In One Million Easy Steps)” for almost five years now, although truth be told I’m sort of on-again-off-again in my contributions. Coincidentally enough, it’s been almost five years since I started Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. along with my dad (his name is Tim). That however, has been full-on, never-off, since day one.
We’re located in Eastern Ontario and have only been selling into Toronto for a year now (click here to find our beer on tap or at the LCBO), so I figure that there’s a good chance you haven’t heard of us yet. So as a way of introduction, hopefully without sounding like an advertisement, we’re located in a small town outside of Ottawa, we’re a family-run brewery full of beer-enthusiasts. All our beer is organic (yes, certified, but our certifier says we should only use certified when we say who the certifier is…ok, they are Pro-Cert for the record, so I guess I could have skipped all this extra writing, oh well), and we’ve won a lot of awards for it, too. But enough about us…
I’m very excited to be invited to contribute to this vibrant and awe-inspiring group and hope I can add a small piece to the discussion. There are lots of cool things happening in the world of craft-beer and I promise not to just talk about myself and my brewery.
Cheers,
Steve
Great to hear from you Steve, and looking forward to your posts. Tried your Lug Tread at the CRFA show, and you have had a fan ever since. Looking forward to your posts.
Love the new seasonal, Beaver River. Super nice bitter hops. Yum.
Hi Steve,
I used to live in Ottawa so drank and became a fan of your beer there. I recently moved to Niagara and started missing your beer. To my great surprise last week I walked into an LCBO here and your Lug-Tread was there. You are all doing a really great job at Beau’s so please keep it up.
Also I think all breweries should be mandated to print the packaging date on their bottles like you do. I think it is important that we know just how fresh the beer we are buying is. Finally, I think you packaging concepts are brilliant especially the four pack 600mL bottles. Clever, looks good and who doesn’t love a large bottle of beer. Thanks again for being a great, local, family owned brewery.
