Upon first visiting Bella Wines‘ website, my jaw dropped when I realised the extensive nature of their sparkling wine program; it’s big… like, really big.
While their overall production is artisanal in volume, they make a truly astonishing number of wines with bubbles, almost exclusively from Chardonnay and Gamay Noir, and for the most part in single vineyard bottlings.
A relative anomaly in the world of Canadian wines, I asked Jay what set him off down this fascinating path, and so began our interview.
