If the name Zoe Traiforos seems familiar to you then that may be because of her ongoing Proper Lunch Please parents advocacy group, something we covered in these pages in June of last year.
As well as her campaign for better school lunches, Zoe also imports some rather terrific olive oils from her family’s groves in Greece.
We sat down with her for a little chat about the in and outs of single grove olive oil production.
If you’d be interested in ordering some of her marvellous olive oil you can drop her an email here or check out her Instagram.

Very interesting interview! I am glad to hear more high quality Greek extra virgin olive oil is getting to Canada, and it’s wonderful to hear someone of Greek heritage educating Canadians about its value. I just shared this on my Greek Liquid Gold: Authentic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Facebook page, which I developed along with my (unofficially nonprofit, informative) website of the same name (www.greekliquidgold.com) to fill the gap in English-language information about Greek extra virgin olive oil and the places and producers it comes from.
