Gianfranco Gallo first took the reins of his family’s cellar and vineyards in 1978 at the age of 19. He saw the potential of the soils and began reorganizing and replanting his vineyards. He wanted to create cleaner wines, choosing to farm through organic processes and focusing more on quality than quantity. These initiatives have given the stamp of unique personality to the wines of Vie di Romans over the last 40+ years. A new cellar was completed last year and the next generation has joined the family business, with Tommaso and Veronica joining Gianfranco in the cellar and Matteo in the sales office.
