A great good food fighter and hero of the good food movement has died. Elizabeth Harris pioneered the farmers market at Riverdale Park, and more recently at the Brick Works. Good Food Revolution mourns the loss of her energy, spirit and compassion. We are grateful both for her work and inspiration and hope we can live up to Elizabeth’s example.
A memorial service will be held at Metropolitan United Church at 2pm, Saturday, March 12. Click here for Elizabeth’s Toronto Star obituary.
As JK’s event coordinator, I was privy to working with Elizabeth, and she was so accommodating and passionate. She really was one of the people, when coordinating events that was more about the experience for the guests and clients. Humble and great!
You will be missed.
Elizabeth was passionate about food and, even more importantly, about the quality of life available to people everywhere. It was an honour to know her.
