A Frenchman who is very serious about his Beaujolais, Msr. Stéphane Aviron.

If ever there were a gentleman who would make for the perfect posterboy for the face the The New Beaujolais it would be Micro-Negociant Stéphane Aviron. His intimate understanding of what the varied and nuanced soils of the 10 Beaujolais Cru bring to the glass is, in my mind, what makes him one of the most outstanding winemakers in the region today.

We have been enjoying his wines at GFR for a number of years now and so it was with great pleasure we cracked open a few bottles, tasted drank a considerable amount of his excellent wine, and then dragged him outside for an impromptu sidewalk interview.
