Mildred’s Temple Kitchen began filling up pretty early on.
Of course after the secret ingredient (Duck) was revealed, the competitors could use the extensive pantry.
Fanatic: a person filled with excessive and single-minded zeal, esp. for an extreme religious or political cause.
As you can see this man is in complete control here.
All eyes on the competitors as the judges work through the five dishes.
Gav Mertell was so calm and composed throughout the competition.
Impressive presentation here…
Ducks an easy meat to bugger up, but it looks as if all five of them nailed it.
The illustrious judges tasting and scoring each dish methodically.
Oh Boy I was getting hungry at this point.
Time for the tallying of scores.
More smiling faces in the crowd.
Tutti Mattis’ Alida Solomon and her folks crowding the Judges’ Table.
Two lucky raffle winners get to try each dish.
Donna Dooher’s MTK cowbell.
The crowd is getting pretty fired up.
And the food goes before the judges.
Val Howes appears to be on Team Debbie too!
Lots of smiling faces in the audience: She Does The City’s Jen McNeely and Valerie Howes of Val’s Open Kitchen.
Team Debbie in full effect.
The detritus in the kitchen post countdown.
I have to say that all of the presentations were impressive.
Despite the tension it’s all fun and smiles.
Five anxious Tin Chef competitors.
Donna Dooher works the room well… such a talented MC!
Annnnnnd the winner of Tin Chef 2014 is….
Gav Martell!!!
Big hugs and kisses all round.
Donna and the judges: Tutti Mattis’ Alida Solomon, Donna herself, Paul Brans form Oliver and Bonacini, and Saverio Macri from Cibo Wine Bar.

And below are the video entries for the five competitors that Donna Dooher and her team selected to take part in the final:
Our first participant is Meghan Legere. Meghan has a passion for the kitchen and is preparing to unleash her talents with flare and plenty of fire.
Next up is Jill Chen. No slouch when comes to sustainability, Jill’s called upon all the forces of nature to take her to the kitchen podium.
Ronn Reaman’s getting pumped to take up the challenge. He’s a man who cooks from his very soul and has no need for a recipe – a true renaissance man.
Gav Martel takes molecular gastronomy to a whole new level. Using the latest methods of sorcery in the kitchen Gav’s planning on mesmerizing the judges with his new found skills.
Deborah Brewster claps a roti and spanks a chicken. No stranger to competition she’s got a few wins under her belt and is convinced she can takedown her counterparts to place the coveted Tin Chef Trophy on her mantel.
