2020 Twenty Mile Bench, Pinot Noir

$37.00

This Pinot Noir was made with grapes sourced from carefully chosen vineyard sites in the Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellation. These vineyards, situated near our winery, are perfectly suited for producing elegant, classic Pinot Noir that demonstrates what makes this part of Niagara so special.

“93 points. Elegantly scented, with notes of cherries and raspberries, hints of olive tapenade and cream on the nose. The palate has charm, red fruit and a measured generosity. Well defined and pure with a lovely crunch.” – Decanter Magazine

“92 points. This is nicely perfumed with brambly raspberries, red cherries and red currants that is fruity without being too earthy with just a pinch of spice. The melange of red fruits is integrated on the palate with ever-so-subtle savoury/earthy notes adding complexity, a touch of anise, smooth tannins, and a finessed finish.” – Rick VanSickle, Wines In Niagara

“Cloudsley’s ‘entry’ level pinot is terrific in the 2020 vintage, generous and fruity, round and supple, forward in the 2020 vintage style. I love the ripe raspberry fruit, joyful and pure, framed by a touch of sweet oak spice, vanilla. Tannins are supple and creamy, acids balanced, and the overall ensemble really quite delicious. I’d let it sit for another year for full oak integration, but this will provide immense drinking pleasure over the subsequent 3-5 years – capture it on the pure fruit.” – John Szabo, MS, Wine Align
