Why: With the help of Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro and Enviro-Stewards, Southbrook has achieved a 38 per cent reduction in electricity usage and 41 per cent reduction in natural gas usage through conservation. With the new 170 MwH Net Metering Solar system these initiatives will reduce Southbrook Vineyard’s net electrical consumption by 80 per cent.
