Make your way to Closson Chase for a wine tasting and get creative. We’re looking for amazing shots of our newly painted purple barn.
Closson Chase recently hired Wayne Cronk Painting of Picton to repaint the barn. The process toke just under a month, with the crew hard at work from June 3rd through to the 25th. Two coats of paint were applied – the first Purple Polka Dot and the second California Raisin. The top coat was applied using a dry brush technique. Drybrushing is a painting technique in which a paint brush that is relatively dry, but still holds paint is used. The resulting brush strokes have a scratchy look creating a hint of lighter colour against the darker purple. We love the results as do many of our visitors. Comments we’ve received to date:
