Being a huge fan of the Blaufrankisch grape when it is done well, it’s always a real treat to meet someone who treats the varietal with the respect it deserves. Young Winemaker Markus Altenburger does some pretty special things with the Blaufrankisch varietal in his home of Burgenland, Austria.
