Bruno Giacosa exclusive offer

Wines will NOT be available through LCBO

Calling Italian wine aficionados!

Each year, we look forward to our small, but highly coveted allocation from iconic Italian winemaker Bruno Giacosa. His wines are legendary; he has been described as “the Genius of Neive” as well as the “Romanée-Conti of Piedmont.” A third generation vigneron, Bruno started working at the family’s estate at the age of 15. It was customary in those days to make wine from purchased fruit, however in 1967, Giacosa began bottling single vineyards Barolos and Barbarescos with the cru name on the label. He would eventually buy some of the vineyards whose fruit his family had been sourcing over the years, at which point he created two distinct wineries to differentiate between purchased and estate fruit. Essentially, wines designated with the word “Falletto” in the name are from the family’s estate vineyards.

We will be ordering these wines next week, and we expect to receive them before the end of the year. There was only one red label released this year, the Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto Riserva 2008. At this time, it is only available in magnum (1500mL) and double magnum (3000mL) formats.

The remaining allocations are quite limited, so orders will be honoured on a first come, first served basis. For a few of the wines, our allocation is only 60 bottles. Wines are bottled in 750mL format and shipped 6 bottles per case, unless otherwise indicated. Prices listed are the price per bottle, and do not include HST or bottle deposit. If a wine is not listed, it has sold out.

These are the wines currently available.
