After spending many a year in the world of wine distribution, ex-Montrealer Nathalie Bonhomme decided that she’d like to try her hand at making wine in Spain.
Back in 2007 she partnered with Valencia’s Rafael Cambra to produce a Monastrell/Cabernet Sauvignon Bonhomme label wine that is now exported all over the world. Then in 2011 she collaborated with Jumilla’s Bodegas Juan Gil to produce El Petit Bonhomme, a fascinating Monastrell, Garnacha, and Syrah blend, a cheeky homage to the wines of the southern Rhône.
We sat her down for a few glasses of wine at, appropriately, Toronto’s Cava Restaurant…
Nathalie’s wines are available through Profile Wine Group and a various discerning establishments around town.
