On behalf of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, you are invited to the Toronto’s first ever Austrian Wine Magnum Party – Small country, Big Bottles!

This is all top kit: lots of single vineyard grüner, blaufränkisch and more, from top regions and top producers.

The legendary Willi Klinger, Kaiser of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, will be on hand to regale you with tales von Österreich, John Szabo MS to discuss formation of aromatic precursors derived from primary rock soils (love the taste of rocks!), Austrian wine maidens to circulate wines in baskets, DJ Ben Hodson to spin the wax (if his wife doesn’t go into labour), and so much more…

Who: industry only; you will be required to name 3 Austrian DACs to gain entrance

What: party, wine, chef Nik’s non-traditional cuisine (ox- tongue schnitzel – jawohl!), accidental learning

When: October 18th, 2011, 8pm-last empty bottle (drop in, or stay all night)
