When one thinks of Vienna, what comes to mind?
Is it the city’s rich history of culture and the arts? Klimt? Schubert? Strauss? Mozart? Falco?
The stunning Romanesque Ruprechtskirche and Baroque Karlskirche architecture?
The exceptional Viennese cuisine? Wiener Schnitzel? Tafelspitz? Apfelstrudel? Sachertorte?
Unless one is in the know, it’s rarely that the average pundit would think of the great wines of Vienna, as this great city is one of the few remaining world capital cities with its own vineyards.
Winemaker Fritz Wieninger makes some very special wines in Wien (read: Vienna) and was more than happy to sit down for a chat about “The Taste Of Vienna”
