Since its founding in 1872, Bodegas Gran Feudo has established itself as a Navarra icon. Maneuvering a winery through that much history looks less daunting when you consider the 11 generations of Navarra winemaking expertise the winery carries with the Chivite family at the helm. Their Reserva and Rosado are long-time Spanish favorites in Ontario, making the perfect pair to match your game day and Valentine’s day dinners.
Gran Feudo Reserva – #479014 – $16.95 (Normally $18.95 – Save $2.00 until February 27th)
A blend of Merlot, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the this Reserva is brimming with red berry jam, plum, vanilla, smoky notes and oak spices from 18 months in barrel. The tannins smoothly cross your palate then bring a dusty grip through the lengthy finish. Great for grilled steak, burgers, or ribs, and other game day favorites like wings, pizza, and nachos.
Gran Feudo Rosado – #165845 – $13.00
The electric strawberry colour hints at what is inside a bottle of Gran Fuedo Rosado. A blend of Garnacha (Grenache), Tempranillo and Merlot, the wine has a bright acidity that keeps the wild strawberry and cherry fruit lively and the wine refreshing. An excellent match for Valentine’s Day dinner of pan-fried salmon, roast vegetables, and wild rice followed by strawberries and whipped cream.
