Blomidon Estate Winery is a boutique winery nestled on the shore of the Minas Basin, near Canning, in the picturesque Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. Their beautiful seaside setting offers a unique location for viticulture, on the fringe.

Winemaker Simon Rafuse and his team are committed to producing 100% Nova Scotia grown grapes and wines, and are proud to have won numerous national and international awards and acclaim for their efforts. Of winemaking on the fringe, Simon keeps it simple. “You have to embrace the acidity. It just doesn’t drop here.”

Blomidon Crémant Extra Dry NV

This Crémant uses estate-grown Seyval Blanc, L’Acadie Blanc, and Chardonnay, with 10 months en tirage, and a dosage of 16 g/L to counter the amazing 11.6 TA. Disgorged winter 2024.

“A finely crafted Traditional Method blend with a richer dosage. Featuring delicate aromas, a light toastiness on the palate and more structure than expected. Texturally compelling with very good length.” 91 points, Sara d’Amato, Wine Align

Blomidon Reserve Chardonnay 2021

“This is such an elegant, delicate chardonnay showing its Nova Scotia roots, yet there is generosity and richness in flavour. The nose is creamy with hazelnut, pear, light toast and lemon meringue pie. Very good use of oak (11 months French). It light to medium bodied, spry yet textured well. The focus and length are excellent.” 92 points, David Lawrason, WineAlign
