2022 Juvenile Zinfandel California

‘The 2022 Zinfandel Juvenile is a remarkably expressive and over-performing iteration of this wine, composed of young vines from nearly three dozen sites across California. The nose combines sweet red fruits, roasted plums and leather with autumnal, spice-driven accents. The palate is medium-bodied with detailed layers of easygoing, succulent fruits. The finish is welcomely dustier and more structured than the nose and palate would suggest and concludes with a bright spine of quenching acidity.‘

2022 Del Barba Vineyard Zinfandel Contra Costa County AVA

‘Sourced from head-trained vines planted in 1980 on sandy soils, the 2022 Zinfandel Del Barba Vineyard is a light, elegant and approachable expression of Turley’s substantial Zinfandel collection. Medium ruby in color, it is initially coiled and opens slowly into a bright, inviting nose with aromas of Earl Grey tea, licorice and red cherries, albeit with slightly less definition and clarity than found in other bottlings. The palate is medium-bodied, deeply red-fruited and lined with spicy, floral accents. The finish is long and perfumed, framed by clay-textured tannins and lifted, juicy acidity harnessed with an understated elegance.‘

2022 Pesenti Vineyard Zinfandel Willow Creek AVA, Paso Robles

‘Medium ruby in the glass, the 2022 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is refined and pure on the nose, leading with varietally classic aromas of yellow peach, wild red berry jam, touches of woodsmoke and tomato leaves and a mix of earth-driven, evergreen aromas. The palate clearly shows its warm-climate origins with its rich, concentrated, explosively perfumed red fruit flavors. It admirably retains precision despite this massive frame and is lined with fine-grained, generous tannins. The finish is led by peachy, fruit-driven perfume with just enough tangy acidity to prop up the long, juicy finish that calls you back to the glass.‘

2023 Zinfandel Rosé California
‘We select a few of our Zinfandel vines to pick early to make this vivid, dry, delightful rosé. The wine is fermented completely dry using only natural yeasts, and finishes fermentation in 100% used French oak barrels. This Provençal-style reimagining of California’s infamous rosé wine was conceived of by Larry’s eldest daughter, Christina, while she was still working as a sommelière at the Momofuku Restaurant Group.‘
