While rum is often celebrated as the backbone of tropical cocktails, it can also aspire to the level of a meditative “sipping” experience when it meets the mastery of artisanal distillation.
Enter Demerara Distillers Limited, the custodians of Guyanese rum excellence, whose El Dorado line embodies the pinnacle of this craft. Nestled along the fertile banks of the Demerara River, their distillery boasts a heritage of over 300 years, harnessing molasses from the finest sugar cane to create a range of rums unlike any other.
What sets Demerara Distillers apart? For one, it’s their collection of historic stills: the French Savalle Still, two Wooden Pot Stills (single and double), and Wooden Continuous Coffey (or EHP Wooden Still). Some of these represent the last fully working examples of their kind in the world today.
Whether you’re a seasoned rum aficionado or an adventurous spirit seeker, these promise a journey into the world of rum excellence. Don’t miss your chance to experience the liquid gold from El Dorado
