Thank you.

After more than a decade of working on Good Food Revolution, it’s time for me to move on.

It is with some sadness that I write my last post, but it is also with no regret. It’s been a great ride and I am grateful for all the experiences that came with publishing GFR. I have learned far more by being part of this website than I would have ever imagined.

Good Food Revolution would not exist but for three men, whose roles in its creation may not be well known. The first is Rudyard Griffiths, my good friend who helped me develop the concept of a website about food and wine that was supported by independent companies. The second is Michael MacMillan who played a crucial role in getting us up and running. The third is Steve Beauchesne who connected us with a life saving Beau’s sponsorship which carried us through our first year and into the second. I am grateful for the help each one gave us.

I am also thankful for all the support we have enjoyed from our Good Food Fighter sponsors. Thank you for taking a chance on a different way of doing marketing.

Good Food Revolution will continue under the leadership of Jamie Drummond. I look forward to seeing what Jamie does with the website. In the last two weeks he’s brought in new people and new ideas and I am pleased to see innovation at GFR. I am enjoying my new role as simply a GFR reader.

I am working on a couple of projects that I hope to reveal and launch in the fall. I had forgotten how thrilling it is to work on new things, and I am enjoying the process of creation. I am also writing regularly about wine at a new politics and policy website called TheHub.ca. You can read my wine columns at The Hub here.

Thank you, dear GFR readers. Your interest in what we’ve done kept us going through thick and thin. I hope we helped you enjoy some of the finer things in return.

Cheers,

Malcolm
