Based on the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, Radford Dale specializes in producing site-specific, low intervention wines.

DISCOVER THE WINES

South Africa’s most famous wine-producing district, Stellenbosch, surrounds the historic town with the same name; fine winemaking here dates back to the late 1600s. Its valleys of granite, sandstone and alluvial loam soils lie between the towering blue-grey mountains and have the capacity to produce beautiful wines from many varieties.

In addition to making good wines, Radford Dale founded The Land of Hope Trust in 2007 to provide scholarships to the children and dependents of their employees.

Burgundy-trained, Alex visited South Africa for a guest vintage during his early winemaking years. He fell in love with the beautiful country and eventually moved there to continue his journey of making some of the country’s finest wines – the rest is history.
