Gala to feature special guest – Jason Wise, Director SOMM 3
The SOMM 3 premiere will feature a Q&A session with director, Jason Wise, the man behind this wildly popular film franchise. This hotly anticipated film is creating a major buzz amongst wine enthusiasts – as it features some of the most sought after personalities in the world of fine wine, including: Jancis Robinson, the planet’s most prolific and influential wine writer; Steven Spurrier, who held the Judgment of Paris, a blind tasting that made headlines when American wines beat out some of the great classics from France in 1976, and Fred Dame, a man considered to be the father of the modern sommelier profession. In SOMM 3, these three legends sit down in Paris to taste the rarest bottles of their careers. Meanwhile, in New York City, some of the top tasters in the world gather for a secret tasting that pits the finest new world Pinot Noirs against the great Burgundies of France.
