From winemaker Cheryl Francis, ripeness is a virtue for this Willamette Valley pinot noir, with strawberry and black raspberry up front. Tangy antedilluvian soil and river salinity are matters of charm and instruction, for a sense of place to be gathered and understood. There is very thoughtful winemaking happening here and it shows in the form of balance and poise. This will age gracefully and without haste…” Drink 2016-2023. Tasted October 2016. Winealign.com

Here’s a savory, medium-bodied white that delivers aromas and flavors of yellow flower, ripe yellow apple, juicy peach, lemon zest and flint. An almond note backs up the finish while modest acidity provides balance. (Kerin O’Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 2015)
This is a well made, high quality vermentino from northern Sardinia, delicate and mildly salty with a fine mineral-herbal twang. There’s genuine flavour concentration and fine length. Classy. Tasted November 2016. Value Rating: **1/2 John Szabo MS – Winealign.com
