His 
bio at The Guardian very accurately describes Joe Warwick as a “restaurant writer”. He does indeed write about restaurants regularly in and around London, where he lives, for Metro and other publications, but he’s best known on this side of the Atlantic for his involvement in the founding of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, and his new book for Phaidon, Where Chefs Eat. Warwick is also a panelist at Terroir 2013 and in the Google+ Hangout* video below, recorded days before his first visit to Toronto and Montreal, I talk to Warwick about how he became a restaurant writer, the creation and meaning of the awards, and what it was like collaborating with the world’s chefs to write his book.
