Having always had something of a soft/hard spot for Spanish Monastrell, it was with considerable delight that I welcomed Bodegas Los Frailes‘ lovely Maria José Valazquez into Good Food Revolution’s brand new recording studio for a taste through her family’s wines.
Her wines are currently being poured by the glass and by the bottle at some of Toronto’s best restaurants and wine bars (Midfield, Skin and Bones, Cava, Black Hoof, and Cafe Boulud to name just a handful!), and I have been a serious fan ever since I was first introduced to them a couple of years back.
The first GFR recording session at the new digs went with nary a hitch…
Maria’s most excellent wines are available through Tannin Fine Wines.
