February, the month of love, was a busy month for Rosewood Estates Winery. Each weekend Rosewood hosted different food & mead pairings to showcase the versatility and uniqueness of meads. Located on the Beamsville Bench, Rosewood is a producer of wine and meads which are made from local honey & honey produced on the property.
In honour of the month of love, Rosewood named the event, ” For The Love of Mead ” otherwise known as Mead Month. The Rosewood team loves mead so much they wanted to share it with everyone and throughout the month hosted complimentary food and mead pairings. Weekly themes ranged from mead & cupcakes, to mead & chocolate to even mead & meatballs with each weekend offering different foods with a different selection of meads.
This weekly tasting was also a fundraiser for The Heart & Stroke Foundation’s “Heart Month”. After 4 weekends, and many tastings of mead later, the Rosewood team raised $1000 for The Heart & Stroke Foundation. Extremely excited the entire team thanks everyone for their support & generous donations.
